From knee-length dresses with on-trend color-blocking and abstract floral prints to separates elevated with edgy leather accents, Reed Krakoff makes clothes for the modern working woman’s wardrobe. So it’s no surprise that the designer who leads the charge for his namesake fashion brand is expanding his team.

The luxury fashion house has appointed Stacy Van Praagh to Global President and Evelyn Kim as Chief Digital Officer. Both executives have been brought on to lead an aggressive development strategy to expand company’s distribution network and tap into new marketing and digital platforms. They bring a wealth of experience to the brand: Van Praagh has held key leadership roles at Oscar de la Renta, Kate Spade and CHANEL and Kim was most recently the Vice President, Global Digital Marketing at Tiffany & Co.

As we mentioned yesterday, consumers are hungry for shopping experiences that provide a lasting return on their investments. And Krakoff has built a foundation that focuses on both luxury and utility–which are equally important to Stylish Standouts.

The moves make sense since digital is the medium driving our shopping habits. From apps and multimedia to live-chats and streaming video, we want to engage with our favorite designers no matter where we are. It seems with these hires, Krakoff is planning to satisfy that expectation.
