Charlotte Gainsbourg is an actress that has ventured into multiple realms. She’s done music and now she can even put fashion designer on her resume. She revealed her first capsule collection, which is for the denim company Current/Elliott, while she was in Paris on Monday.
The collection spans a full year, including all four season, starting this fall. Gainsbourg certainly isn’t starting off small in her fashion career, and she will play double duty as designer and model starting with her Spring 2015 line.
Current/Elliott is an interesting denim label in itself. It claims that “each individual style pays homage to the importance that denim has played throughout American history, … ” Each style of item has a historical reference, an original vintage sample of it and a year that the style originated. They respect and pay tribute to the role that denim paid in America’s history, and are sure not to let that slip through the cracks.
Her line will be made of about 40 pieces of clothing, including everything from pants and blazers to t-shirts. Right now we know that jeans are set to debut at $341.50 while a leather jacket could run as high as nearly $3,000.
